1. Favourite person
Really?! Duhhhhhh, Lily Collins - who else? Obviously, given my last post, Lily is my favourite girl this month, a decision and happening mostly down to her fantastic portrayal of Clary Fray in The Mortal Instruments. L-O-V-E.2. Favourite Book
Of course, if my favourite person this month is Liky, then my favourite book - or book series should I say - is Cassandra Clare's own Mortal Instruments creations. These books are a sort of fantasy world that I've never seen before, and that I have absolutely fallen in love with. The characters are close to my heart, and all of the books are truly amazing and equally s in standard, though I have to say (and it surely is a tough decision!) that City of Glass is my favourite - that however, is mostly down to the non-incest type feelings between Jace and Clary, which made real reeeeeeeeal happy. I would seriously recommend you give this series a try if you haven't already, they're truly a blessing to the reading community (Amen.).3. Favourite Film
Narnia, Prince Caspian, Narnia, Prince Caspian, Narnia, Prince Caspian. Edmund Pevensie. Lately, I have unearthed a childhood love, re-visited it, and fell in love with it again, and this new love is in the form of Narnia. I re-read the books, watched the films, but I always find myself snuggling in bed at night, a mug of hot chocolate in hand, and reaching down to slot my copy of Prince Caspian in the DVD player. In my opinion, it's the best of the Narnia film trilogy - it has the best special effects, the best cast, and the best story line (and, Edmund looks the cutest...). I really encourage you to visit these classics, and, I'm anticipating the release of the new film in the series 'The Silver Chair', which is set to start production this year! Yay!4. Favourite Item of Clothing
Last year I purchased myself a gorgeous leather jacket from Topshop, and I - being me, ended up losing the wretched thing. So, after Christmas, I set out on a mission to buy a new one and never looked back. This little Topshop bombshell has removable fur, which is always convenient, is a lovely comfortable fit and is true to size. Perfect.5. Favourite Drink
Around the end of winter time, I always seem to fall ill. When I do catch the Winter blues, I'm always targeted with the worse sore throat of all time, and so I need to keep hydrated. Usually, I am definitely not a water lover, but with desperate time comes desperate measures and this was a last resort to soothe my aching throat; and all has prevailed! Water worked like magic, and I've developed a real love for water this month that I didn't have before - which is certainly a good thing, so hopefully this will lead me down a one way path to detoxing and generally being a more healthy person!6. Favourite Pair of Shoes
Or should I say pairs because I really couldn't choose between the two. My trusty River Island cut out boots are my go-to shoes this winter, I think they're so versatile and they work with dressy ad casual outfits, which I always love in a pair of shoes. Then, are my Topshop suede wedges which I've actually been earing very often lately. Mostly I've been pairing them with a pair of skinny jeans and a casual shirt or jumper, just to add that little bit of sophistication to an outfit; I think my Lily Collins is showing!
And... those are my January Favourites! What were you loving throughout January - is there anything you could recommend? Let me know in the comments! As I said in my last post, I'm still looking for suggestions for a Book Review post, so if you have any leave them in a comment and I'll see you on Tuesday!
