Beauty favourite: EYE SHADOW
Before I purchased this palette way back in the summer, I'd never really used makeup such as eye shadow etc. before. I kept my makeup really basic and simple (which isn't a bad thing!), but I felt that I wanted to branch out and try something new. At this time I wasn't really all that good at make-up, but I'd inevitably been inspired by the beautiful (and hella talented) Tanya Burr. So, I bought a naked palette to give my collection a kick start and I literally fell in love with makeup (seriously I'm planning on marring my YSL Foundation).
Movie favourite: THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER
For me The Perks Of Being A Wallflower was the film of the year due to it living up to the huge and high expectations. The film is just so great, and sticks so closely to the book plot, which is something I always look for in a film adaptation, especially in this case seeing as though I absolutely adored the book. Though, what really made the film my film of the year wasn't just it's amazing adaptation from the book, but the amazingly epic cast. My absolute favourite actress of all time next to Jennifer Lawrence has to be Emma Watson, the British Beauty. And not only does Emma Watson star in this blockbuster, but Logan Lerman portrays the protagonist Charlie in this film, and I've him adored since the first Percy Jackson movie. This film simply does not get old, you can watch it over and over and I would definitely recommend you go out and buy it!
Book favourite: DIVERGENT
Though this trilogy by no means overshadows my favourite ever book series The Hunger Games (nor will anything like, ever), it is however, something I found in 2013 that not that many people know about, which makes it like 10000 times more appealing to me. To start, I am absolutely in love with Fourtris (I am sooo passionate about this OTP), and because I'd been a fan of the series before the last book was released, I got to be really excited about the release of Allegiant. In my opinion (which is obviously right), Divergent is the best book of the three (Insurgent and Allegiant) purely because you are introduced to this whole new world, and to new characters and you get to experience all this change that Tris goes through when she does. I don't like to give any spoilers, but the last book is so terribly sad and it made me so emotional that I don't know if I'll ever be able to stomach reading is again (I will) but I don't doubt that if I do, I'll desperately be wishing for a more happier ending! Now however, I'm anticipating the film release in 2014, which is sure to be a hit (mainly because it's starring my baby Shailene Woodley), so if you feel like taking a little look, the link to the trailer is right here.
Food favourite: PEANUT BUTTER CUPS
I discovered these chocolatey, peanutty delights when I visited New York. I found a love for peanut butter just before I visited, and then while on the trip, I then discovered these. I was sooo gutted when I arrived home because I didn't buy any to bring back home with me, but then I found out they sold them in the UK (!!!!) and I have been obsessed with them ever since.
Fashion favourite: TARTAN OR LEATHER
I think both of these trends are so edgy and diverse and can equally be dressed up or down. Tartan especially is so individual and both are timeless pieces of fashion that re occur time and time again over the years, and I am totally obsessed and loving both trends this season. If you fancy looking at any of my own Tartan or leather pieces you can find pictures here, and some outfits featuring the pieces here and here.
Favourite moment: BEING IN BLOOMINGDALES, NY
The fashion and history and shopping opportunities at this place was truly overwhelming for me. I loved New York and the whole trip we took there, and I felt honoured to be even talking about my experience there. It was truly amazing.
Music favourite: THE 1975
I discovered this band with the help of my good friend Serena and obviously, the gorgeous Harry Styles. After hearing about them, I checked out a few of their songs and fell in love. Their sound is the perfect mix of pop, rock and indie, which is definitely my ideal music. The band's image is something that really appeals to me and I truly adore the album, which you can buy right here.
TV Show favourite: MADE IN CHELSEA
For a while I've been obsessed with the actual place Chelsea in London, and I've always watched the show since the first series. But lately I've found that the show intrigues me a lot more; I love the lifestyle, the fashion, the makeup and cat fights in Chelsea - it's a place I dream about living someday. Although I'm kinda (really) upset that Season 6 has finished, I'm soo hyped for the next series!
Fragrance favourite: OUR MOMENT
In terms of fragrance, I absolutely adore fruity smells. The packaging of the perfume I think is a little bit trashy, but the smell is truly divine. Its price is pretty average, it lasts all day and I've been loving it lots this year.
