London and Harry Potter Studio Tour Trip!

Hello my lovelies! A those of you who follow me on Tumblr may (or may not) know, this weekend my darling Mother surprised me with an overnight stay in London! How nice of her.. The trip to the HP Studios was a Christmas present and a blessing by itself, and this surprise really put a cherry on the metaphorical cake of last week, before I started this week with an unfortunate of abundance of exams (waaaaaaahhhhh). Nonetheless, my weekend was an action packed, blister inducing and overall magical (do you see what I did there?!) weekend, and so naturally, I wanted to share some snaps of my time in the place I most definitely should have been born! Let's take a peek...

We arrived in London around 4PM, just as it was getting darker, so we checked in (unfortunately not in a hotel that didn't take 45 minutes on a tube to get to central London...) and headed straight off to visit London by night!

Here's night-time Oxford Street! Unfortunately no shopping took place, but it was still magical (again with the bad puns..)

This is one of the beautiful Statue's in Trafalgar Square that my sister utterly adored!

Where I am stood from here, behind me is the gates that leads to Number 10 Downing street! The Prime minister has definitely got a pretty view to sit and drink his Yorkshire tea to at night!

How cute is this! I love a good pun and Little Frankie's was the smallest (but definitely one of the best) restaurants ever! The food was incredible, so next time you're in the Trafalgar area, check it out!

And of course, how could I leave out my all time favourite shop! f course, Topshop was the definite highlight of my evening.

Then on the Sunday, we made an early start, checked out of the Hotel, took the ridiculously (or ridikkulus-ly) long tube ride, and did even more (if that's possible) sightseeing!

This was my Outfit of the Day for London that I shamelessly took in my Dressing Room at my Hotel!
Shirt - Topshop  /  Jeans - Topshop  /  Jumper - Topshop  /  Boots - River Island  /  Beanie - Topshop  / Gryffindor Scarf - Warner Bros. Store

This is my striking a little awkward posey posey in front of Buckingham Palace! If you look closely, you can see the Queen waving through the window...

Okay so I positively begged my Mum to let me come here to Shaftsbury Avenue. If you watch Harry Potter as religiously (amen to that) as I do, then you'll know that in Deathly Hallows Par 1 this is where Hermione apparatus her, Harry and Ron to after the fiasco at Bill and Fleur's wedding. "Shaftesbury Avenue; I used to come to the theatre here with mum and dad. I don't know why I thought of it, it just popped into my head."

And here's me! Enjoying a cheeky Starbuck's Hazelnut Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream and a Caramel Drizzle in Westminster.... yum!

Here's another Shaftesbury Avenue snap!

This is me (photo courteously taken by my darling brother) walking through some park on the way to Buckingham palace looking all wintry and stuff.

Aren't these....... things so Historical looking?! Yes!!

Once it got to around 3:45PM we started to head back to the tube station to make our way to the Harry Potter Studios! But before we did, we took a little detour.... To Platform 9 and 3/4!

It must be September the 1st because I've got my trunk and my owl, and I'm ready to catch the Hogwarts express to Hogwarts itself!

This gift shop  at the side of the platform was the best thing ever- and even better, it was full of magical goodies! I got two cute little post cards!

Thankfully Petunia, Vernon and Dudley weren't awaiting us at Number 4 Privet Drive! Phew!!

"Hello I'm.... incandescent(??), I'll be your conductor for this evening! Welcome to the Knight Bus!"

My trusty HP Passport!

*Throws Floo Powder* Diagon Alley!

Taken like a true Slytherin.... Say Hello to weird headless mannequins of Draco Malfoy (swoon) and Pansy Parkinson (vomit).

The Great Hall really was.... Great!

And of course! How could I have possible left without a souvenir! The gift shop was bloody astounding (if you don't mind me saying) and there was just everything you could ever want in there. I, however, am a practical woman and purchased two books; The Tales of Beadle the Bard and Quidditch Through the Ages, because I am educational (and I really wanted these books!!)

And finally, the place where the magic happens. This unbelievable scale model of Hogwarts - at Christmas no less! My Mum and I were truly blown away by this! Hogwarts, Howarts, Hogy-warty Hogwarts, teach us something please...

So, even if you're not the hugest Harry Potter fan, I do hope you enjoyed my ramblings about my fabulous weekend and if you do love Harry Potter, then consider yourself as having been on the tour yourself! A always thank you so much for reading, and if you did make it to the end (I hope you did!) then leave me a comment telling me what you did this weekend! Have any of you been to the Harry Potter studio Tour? If you have tell me about your experience, I'd love to read about it in the comments!
